Scholar to give Islam, democracy \nin Iraq lecture tonight

The event is free and open to the public.\nFeldman specifically will address the potential for Iraqi diplomacy and how Iraq's constitution might come to reflect the changes taking place in the country. \nThis event is presented by the Union Board and co-sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor, the Poynter Center, the Muslim Student Union, the Wells Scholars Program, the American Constitution Society, the Department of Near Eastern languages and cultures and the Department of Political Science.\nForeign film 'Good Hands' screened tonight in E. Swain\nThe IU Baltic and Finnish Studies Association will present "Good Hands," a film from Latvia and Estonia, tonight at 7 in East Swain Hall 140. Offered with English subtitles, the work chronicles the tale of a young thief who is forced to leave his home country when the police begin pursuing him. Traveling to Estonia, she takes residence with a family of men and a little boy. She falls in love with one -- a police officer.\nThe viewing is free and open to the public. Starting Friday with a Coffee House Reception in Alumni Hall at the IMU, the group will take part in an Alumni Awards Banquet in Alumni Hall at 4 p.m. Saturday, finishing with the Spring Concert in IU Auditorium at 8 p.m. \nSinging Hoosiers celebrate 55th \nanniversary\nThe first MFA Thesis exhibit featuring work from the ceramics, metals, painting, and photography departments will open Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Sofa Gallery.
