Ying Yang Twins bring the crunk ATL-style

Ronni Moore

The Ying Yang Twins are back again with their newest release, My Brother and Me. This CD is a follow-up to their last release, Me and My Brother, which scored such hit singles like "Salt Shaker" featuring Lil' Jon & The East Side Boyz, "Whats Happnin!" featuring Trick Daddy and "Naggin'." Now the party rap duo comes hard with tight remixes. The two brothers Kaine and D Roc, known as the Ying Yang Twins, bring the popular sound of the "dirrty" south to their newest album. The signature rap vocals of Kaine with his loud, graspy voice and D Roc's famous "Hahhhhhhh" proves this album to be adrenaline-pumped. Between the Ying Yang Twins' hard-hitting lyrics, club beats and all the crunk you can handle straight from ATL, this album of remixes proves to be a strong force among the hip-hop world. \nThis new album contains 10 tracks of nothing but tight remixes. With the party and club feel of each track, you're bound to get crunked up while jammin' out sooner or later. Many famous rappers are featured on the tracks such as Juvenile on track nine, "Slow Motion Remix." We also see four more rap stars on track five alone with the "Salt Shaker Remix" featuring Juvenile, Murphy Lee, Lil' Jon and Fat Joe. Some other cool tracks worth mentioning would be track eight, "Take Ya Clothes Off" featuring Bone Crusher; track ten, "Get Crunk Shorty" and also track three, "Georgia Dome Remix" featuring Jacki-O & Fatman Scoop. One other track that drew my interest was track six, "Do It," featuring the Mujicians & Nue Breed because it offered great bass for all you bass-heads out there that love to cruise and bump in your ride. All the songs offer a real club-like feel that will get you in the mood to party up. \nThe Ying Yang Twins have come a long way from their first album in 2000, Thug Walkin', which included their first hit single, "Whistle While You Twurk." Since then, the brothers have gained much success and proved they are a force to reckon with in the rap game. The album also contains a bonus DVD that includes their videos to "Whats Happnin!", "Salt Shaker" and "Naggin" along with performances from the 2004 BET Awards & "The WB Presents Pepsi Smash" plus their "MTV Cribs" appearance. \nYou can't go wrong with this album because it offers so much on the remix CD and also on the bonus DVD. I recommend this album to any hip-hop fans that love phat beats, tight rap lyrics and party-driven music. Go out and buy it today, and then you can cruise downtown with your friends jammin' out to the new CD on the way to the club or bar. You won't regret it, and don't forget people, get crunked up!
