'Served' serves up audiences on DVD

I always wondered how long it would take those boys from B2K and those other boys from IMx to get together and make a really crappy movie about street-dancing. Thankfully, the fine folks at Gotta Dance Inc. cooked up this pearl for the drooling mass of "TRL"-philes. I can only imagine how much dirty money exchanged hands to get this piece of fluff onto film.\nWithout mincing words, the movie is pretty much as horrid as it gets. Somewhere along the line, people named Omarion, DeMario, La La, Raz B, Lil' Fizz and J-Boog play people named Rico, Rashaan, Beautifull, Lil Saint, Liyah and Emerald (not to mention Mr. Rad), all the while managing to mug and gyrate like Orlando pros. I think there's some sort of a plot involving rival dance troupes, but it was hard to find under all the superficial gloss.\nDisc extras include a middling commentary by the film's director and resident boy-band manager, Christopher B. Stokes, and a separate commentary track from the cast in which they wax poetic about their overlong dance sequences.\nUnless you're a diehard street-dancing aficionado, or one of the very few people who shed a tear upon hearing the news of B2K's untimely breakup (in which case psychiatric help may be in order), don't even waste your time going near this one.
