Muncie woman charged with \nassisting suspect\nMUNCIE -- Police charged a woman they said helped a man suspected of killing a Ball State University student elude authorities.\nInvestigators said Wednesday they were looking for more people who might have assisted Damien Sanders, 22, in avoiding arrest for 11 days.\nSanders and Brandon Patterson, 18, both of Muncie, are charged with murder for the March 7 shooting death of Karl Harford, 20, of Carmel. Patterson's 14-year-old cousin has also been charged and prosecutors were seeking to try him as an adult.\nDelaware County prosecutors this week charged Bridget Brannon, 25, of Muncie, with assisting a criminal, a Class C felony, The Star Press reported. Police said she drove Sanders to Louisville to help him avoid being captured and to Indianapolis, where she rented hotel rooms for him.\nHer initial hearing was scheduled for May 10. If convicted, Brannon could face two to eight years in prison.\n"Brannon could have ... helped us out a number of times, and she chose to take his side," Muncie police Sgt. Al Williams said.\nBrannon was not in the Delaware County Jail Wednesday. The Associated Press received no answer at either of two phone numbers listed for Brannon in Muncie.\nHarford was at an off-campus party when he offered a ride home to the three suspects, authorities say.
