Q: What is your ticket's position on the University-imposed ban on smoking within 30 feet of University buildings?\nA: We can understand why the administration might want to put a smoking ban around buildings, but it seems to have been an ineffective policy in implementation.
Q: How would you promote safety and security on campus?\nA: The Safety Escort service is an invaluable student resource, and we plan to expand and increase its efficiency. With the large volume of bicycle riders on campus, we need more bike lanes so pedestrians, bicycles and cars can use the roads and sidewalks safely.
Q: What kind of relationship will IUSA have with the Greek system?\nA: IUSA, IFC and Panhellenic Association should have a great working relationship. The Greek system is a large part of this campus and has a voice to be heard. Separately, IUSA, IFC and Panhellenic are very influential organizations. Together, they can be a great voice of all students -- both Greek and non-Greek.
Q: IUSA has considerable influence, but it can't work alone. Who will you work with to get things done?\nA: When campus issues arise, Big Red will work with whichever student groups stand to receive the most impact. We realize even the administration can be quite busy. Therefore, we will ensure student representation in the numerous sub-committees that make important decisions on behalf of the University.
