The Hoosiers' interior took a big blow Monday when IU coach Mike Davis said forward Sean Kline will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he suffered in Saturday's loss to Purdue.\nThe sophomore will have surgery on his right knee as soon as the swelling goes down. Kline was averaging 7.1 points per game and was pulling down four rebounds.\n"It hurts us a lot because Kline has shown a lot of improvement over the last couple of weeks, especially in Big Ten play," Davis said. "He started to play well in Big Ten play. If you think about the Michigan game, he won that game for us. If you think about the Minnesota game, he won that for us down the stretch. He had some good games, and we're definitely going to miss him."\nFreshman forward Pat Ewing Jr. and junior forward Mike Roberts will fill in for Kline the remainder of the season.\nAlso injured Saturday was junior guard Ryan Tapak. He is listed as day-to-day with a hip pointer. He scored a career-high 11 points against Purdue Saturday.\n"He played well Saturday so hopefully he's back ready to play," Davis said.\nIU (12-10, 6-5 Big Ten) plays Minnesota Wednesday and then Ohio State at home Saturday. The Hoosiers finish the Big Ten season with four of their last five games at home.
