Incumbent party vows to reform on-campus drinking policies, institute dollar cabs for responsible students

Q: What is your ticket's position on the University-imposed ban on smoking within 30 feet of University buildings?\nA: We support the smoking ordinance, but the University needs to provide ash trays and shelters in places where people can smoke. This ordinance should protect non-smokers, not shame smokers to the curb.

Q: How would you promote safety and security on campus? \nA: We will continue to expand the Midnight Special. In addition, we will institute dollar cabs without increasing student fees. We will also put lights in more walkways. There shouldn't be a dark corner of this campus.

Q: What kind of relationship will IUSA have with the Greek system?\nA: We can't tell the Greek community what is best for them, but we can have a good connection with IFC and Panhellenic by representing all students. And we can "go to bat" for Greek houses isolated by the media and stereotypes.\nQ: IUSA has considerable influence, but it can't work alone. Who will you work with to get things done?\nA: We will bring out opinions of individual students by consulting the groups with which they are affiliated. The current administration has done a good job rebuilding a trusting relationship with IUSA. If you promise ridiculous ideas to students and try to get that through the administration, you destroy that trust.
