Men's soccer game rescheduled

The men's soccer team's match against Penn State has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, and a full match will have to be played at Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington.\nThe time is still to be announced, pending the kickoff time for the IU football game against Illinois on that day. The football game time will be announced at least 12 days in advance of the contest. \nFriday night's match was called after a two-hour weather delay in the middle of the second half with the Hoosiers leading 2-0. Severe weather forced the game to be called. The game was played through 66:30, just three and a half minutes short of a complete game.\nBy NCAA rules, a suspended game that is not continued on the same day is considered "no contest," according to an IU Athletic press release. Therefore, IU (2-3-3, 0-0-1) and Penn State (5-3-0, 0-0-0) will play a full match on Nov. 8. It will be the Hoosiers' last match of the regular season.\nThe showdown features the two teams predicted to finish 1-2 in the Big Ten this season, with IU atop.\nLast year, IU won last year's regular season match in double-overtime, 1-0 in State College. But the Nittany Lions defeated the Hoosiers in the conference tournament on penalty kicks, 2-1.
