Local hardcore band gets its 'Revenge'

Bloomington's hardcore scene is surviving. That is, if the Eve's Revenge three song EP, When Feathers Fall, is any indication. All the classic elements of a hardcore band are present -- unrelenting electric guitars, the continuous bash of drums and cymbals and unintelligible vocals, screamed at a volume almost certain to damage the singer's voice. \nIn all honesty, this disc surpassed expectations. With a local release one might have expected to hear a bunch of guys tooling around on guitar for 15 minutes, but Eve's Revenge seems to actually know their instruments well enough to produce a sound sure to make your grandmother throw her walker aside and run from the house. \nBeing an independent release, certain parts of the disc are forgivable. The band needs work on their chord changes to differentiate themselves from others in the genre and themselves, as songs tend to run into each other.\nStill, if hardcore is your thing, rip off your bandanna, bang your head and rock out with Revenge.
