DVD holds onto 'Potter' magic

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" DVD is an improvement on the first movie's. The movie itself is better; while "Sorcerer's Stone" was enjoyable, not as much of "Chamber" is dedicated to introducing characters and places. \n"Chamber" picks up as Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) begins his second year at Hogwarts Academy. When students become petrified, it's is up to Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) to save the day. These young actors are accompanied by a great cast that includes Kenneth Branagh, Richard Harris, Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith, to name a few.\nDVD content also greatly improves in this sequel. Though clever, the maze of options on the "Sorcerer's" DVD was often too confusing to find any extra features. "Chamber" corrects this by having the special features out in the open and allows free exploration of scenes, as well as a "Test your Harry Potter" featurette, which are enjoyable if one has the time to go through them. The two disk set features several extras, but outside of the aforementioned featurettes nothing that special. Other extras include 19 additional scenes, interviews with JK Rowling (author), Steve Kloves (screenplay author) and the cast, along with the obligatory trailer.
