SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Notre Dame's board of trustees will review an allegation that the school's executive vice president grabbed a television reporter's arm.\nBonnie Druker, a reporter for WNDU-TV, which is owned by the university, filed a report last month with the campus police department, saying that the Rev. Timothy Scully grabbed her arm and pinched her while complaining about where a TV truck was parked.\nDruker later dropped the complaint.\nA reporter from WSBT-TV said that Scully pushed her, but she did not file a police report. The television crews were on campus to cover a Mass being celebrated for a missing Notre Dame student.\nNotre Dame spokesman Matthew Storin told the South Bend Tribune for a story Tuesday that the trustees planned to look into the matter.\nTrustees Chairman Patrick McCartan appointed a special committee to conduct the review, Storin said.\n"The findings of the committee will be submitted to the board before its next meeting in May, with a recommendation for further action, if warranted," he said.\nBecause it is an internal personnel matter, details of the review will remain confidential, Storin said.\nScully is in Chile for the funeral of a university benefactor, Storin said. Scully has not returned previous telephone messages left by The Associated Press seeking comment.\nScully last month told the Observer, the student newspaper on campus, that he apologized to Druker. "It was a misunderstanding between Bonnie Druker and myself prior to the Mass," Scully said.\nScully is chairman of WNDU's board of directors.
