The former members of Sigma Phi Epsilon are continuing their legal battle for the money they said they are still owed from their fraternity house owners. \nThe students plan to meet with IU Student Legal Services at 3 p.m. Tuesday to determine whether the chapter can get their security deposit and membership fees returned from house owners Robert Hanrahan and Fred Prall. \nA meeting scheduled for last Tuesday was cancelled.\nThe Sig Ep National Organization closed the fraternity's doors Dec. 21 citing financial reasons. Since, the former members have tried contacting Prall, who handled the finances for the house, about the whereabouts of their $600 security deposit and half of their yearly membership fees, since the chapter was closed halfway through the year, sophomore and former member Joel Riethmiller said.\nRiethmiller said he will try to get the chapter's security deposits and membership fees returned. He plans to show that Hanrahan used the chapter account for his personal travel expenses.\nSherry Giffin, mother of one of the former members, said the men will decide what they're going to do after their meeting with SLS.\nJohn Irvine, director of SLS, said his office is in the process of looking over the details of the issue before they put a case together. He said they would probably have things in order within the next 30 to 40 days.\nGiffin said the men are not going to give up.\n"They're not going to roll over," she said. "They're going to fight for their money"
