Chemistry department hosting lecture\nChemistry professor Gary Horlick of the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, will present an Analytical Chemistry Seminar entitled "Electrospray Mass Spectrometry for Elemental Speciation." The seminar begins at 4 p.m. in the Chemistry building, C033.\nWest European Studies department announces course\nThe West European Studies department will offer "The Netherlands and WWII: Film and Literature" the second eight weeks of fall semester. The course will focus on why World War II is an important theme in Dutch literature. It will address issues such as why the WWII period is so significant, what the differences are with other occupied countries in Europe and if the Dutch films about WWII are different from other European films. The course will meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:45 to 7 p.m. The course numbers are W406 and GER N450 and the instructor will be Esther Ham.\nBiology department to present lecture \nLinda Malkas of IU-Purdue University at Indianapolis will give a medical sciences seminar entitled "DNA replication meets cancer" at 4 p.m today. The event will be in Jordan Hall 009 and will be hosted by Ken Nephew.
