Big Ten matches

Hoosiers face opposite ends of conference spectrum in Wisconsin, Minnesota

Fresh off a victory over rival Purdue last Saturday, the IU women's tennis team will travel to two different Big Ten foes this weekend, looking to move up in the conference standings. The Hoosiers travel to Wisconsin Saturday for a 10 a.m. start and to Minnesota Sunday for another 10 a.m. start.\nThis weekend should prove to be a tough one for the Hoosiers, as Wisconsin has a perfect 5-0 record in conference and a No. 37 ranking nationally. Overall, the Badgers are 12-5 and are looking to avenge a defeat handed to them last season by the Hoosiers in Bloomington.\nThe second match of the weekend, against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, appears less daunting when you look at the standings. In contrast with the first-place Badgers, Minnesota is winless in conference. The Golden Gophers will be fresh, though, having a two-week break since their last match. IU defeated Minnesota last season as well.
