Red Cross seeks volunteers, offers CPR course\nThe American Red Cross needs volunteers for the annual Red Cross Book Fair fund-raiser. An organizational meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at the chapter office at 411 East Seventh St. \nThe chapter is also offering an adult CPR course Jan. 28 from 6 to 10 p.m. Participants will learn how to create emergency information plans, clear a blocked airway, perform rescue breathing and CPR and care for heart attack victims. \nFor more information, call 332-7292 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.\nLaw school to host conference\nThe IU School of Law will host a conference on Congress and the Supreme Court Feb.1-2.\nThe conference, "Congressional Power in the Shadow of the Rehnquist Court: Strategies for the Future," will focus on the impact of Supreme Court decisions on federalism and separation of powers, as well as on civil rights and liberties.\nThe conference will begin Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. It will continue Feb. 2 from 8:30 a.m. until noon. All events will take place in the Moot Court Room of the School of Law.
