SEATTLE -- Senior Heather Cassady scored 15 points as IU took advantage of its inside strength and defensive pressure to defeat Washington State 64-37 in the second round of the Pac-10/Big 10 Challenge on Sunday.\nThe Hoosiers held Washington State without a basket for more than 10 minutes late in the first half and for more than eight minutes in the middle of the second half.\nSenior Jill Chapman scored 12 points for IU (5-3). Chapman grabbed 11 rebounds and recorded her fifth straight double-double.\nBrittney Hawks notched her third straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Washington State (2-7).\nThere were seven lead changes early in the first half of the first meeting between the two schools.\nWith IU trailing 10-9, junior Khisha Asubuhi scored four points during a 12-1 run that put the Hoosiers ahead for good.\nThe Cougars connected on just 10.9 percent of their shots in the second half of Friday night's 81-59 loss to No. 16 Michigan, and the cool shooting continued Sunday.\nWashington State shot 29.6 percent in the first half and then 24.1 percent in the second half.\nIU has not held an opponent under 40 points in a game since Dec. 11, 1993. It was only the second time since 1980 that the Hoosiers accomplished the feat.
