All year I have watched, read and listened to your columns and opinions on the Hoosier football team and I've come to one conclusion -- you are one of them. You are just as bad as the Purdue players you recently chastised. You have the same qualities "stuck up, jaw jerking" (as you put it in your column) as they do. What a hypocrite you turned out to be. When the Hoosiers were losing, you were kicking them when they were down. From your Sept. 25 column: "It's no longer a question of whether Cameron will be in Bloomington next season, but rather if IU will win one game. If Saturday is any indication, probably not." When the Hoosiers starting winning, you've lifted them in praises. And then now you've started ripping apart other people and players who were kicking or doubting the Hoosiers the exact same way you did. So now, in your most recent column you have the nerve to call out the Purdue players and Matt Mitrione for disrespecting the Hoosiers the same way you have all year. Give me a break -- pick a path and stick to it. How much have you really seen of these Hoosiers? I've been to all but three home games the past five years and I've been to away games the past few years at Kentucky, Cincinnati, Penn State, Michigan and Wisconsin this year. I've been supportive of this team from the get go and I reserve the right to praise them now in their success, and I reserve the right to give Mr. Mitrione and Purdue hell for what they said. But you do not have the right to attack Mr. Mitrione or his Purdue buddies because quite frankly you did the exact same thing, and to be honest...you are one of them. I'll leave you with one other quote from one of your previous columns to think about. From Sept. 25: "Things will only get worse from here on out. If Utah can roll over IU for 447 yards, what will Ohio State do this week? How about Wisconsin? And Northwestern? And Illinois? And Purdue? IU's only hope for saving Cameron from a winless final season is Kentucky -- maybe." What a difference two months and four wins, against Wisconsin, Northwestern, Michigan State and Purdue, makes. Good luck to the Hoosiers in bringing home the Bourbon Barrel and thanks to 'Twaan and Levron for bringing home hope to true IU football fans. We'll see you Saturday.
