Just when you think rip-off bands can't get any worse, along comes the Beautiful Creatures. In what can only be described as a horrendous Buckcherry rip-off, the band's self-titled debut is full of bad singing, even worse music and not one bright spot to save the band from what will hopefully be break up.\nThere is nothing good about this album. Well, maybe the occasional Guns N' Roses influenced lyrics, like on the pathetic excuse for a metal track "Blacklist." But even on the worst Axl Rose tantrum night, Beautiful Creatures doesn't come close to the magic Guns N' Roses displayed. It's amazing this band was signed to a label, let alone allowed to make records. Someone should be fired at Warner Brothers for this decision.\nThe image the band members try to pull off is even more comical than their music -- they're trying to be mysterious and tough in all-black clothing, fishnet T-shirts and tattoos. Of course, the ensemble has to be topped off with "rock star" haircuts and the cliche Sid Vicious padlock necklaces. Do people really take this band seriously? Although, their guitarist is named "DJ," which just screams "cool." Besides the fact he looks like a Marilyn Manson reject, was his name inspired by "Full House"'s D.J. Tanner, or is that his God-given name?\nHopefully, the Beautiful Creatures won't get a chance to release a second album. It would be just another waste of time and money for all individuals involved. This album is unoriginal, uninspiring and without talent. This album and band are a perfect examples of what happens when record executives are desperate to sign the next "hip" band, whose only claim is that they're a bad knock-off of another band. The same thing happened with all the Nirvana wannabes, and it's happening again. It's this trend that allows horrible bands like the Beautiful Creatures to release CDs.
