Bus service available for Little 500 weekend

The IU Bus System's late night bus service is available for the upcoming Little 500 weekend.\nThe service, which runs from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, is free for any student who presents a valid student ID. \n"The late night shuttle service is another example of the benefits of the student transportation fee," George Smerk, director of Transportation Services, said in a press release. "Students now have a safe ride home just by showing their ID card."\nThe service includes two routes -- a north and a south route. Both begin at the bus stop at the Indiana Memorial Union.\nThe south route goes along Kirkwood Avenue, Jordan Avenue and Forest, Willkie, Eigenmann, Teter and Wright residence halls. \nThe north route also runs along Kirkwood Avenue, 10th Street, Jordan Avenue, Memorial Stadium and Fee Lane.\nThe buses leave the IMU every 15 minutes beginning at 10 p.m. The last bus leaves the IMU at 2:45 a.m.\nFor more information, call 855-8384.
