University to name new chancellor today

The candidate for the position of Bloomington chancellor will be announced during a press conference at 9:30 a.m. today in the Solarium of the Indiana Memorial Union. \nThe new chancellor will replace current Bloomington Chancellor Kenneth Gros Louis when he retires July 1. \nIU President Myles Brand will announce the chancellor candidate at the press conference, and the final decision will be made on the candidate at the board of trustees meeting April 5 and 6. The trustees meeting will take place on the IU-Purdue University at Indianapolis campus. \nThree finalists for the chancellor position were announced by the University last week. They are Sharon Stephens Brehm from Ohio University; Richard Edwards from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and Cora Bagley Marrett from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
