The time has once again arrived for people to disagree and protest against sanctions and bombings in Iraq. Like past protests, people remember others holding signs, and most don't remember what was written on them. People remember people chanting and yelling, and most don't remember what they said. \nThe reason these protests and congregations go unheard is awareness … and lack thereof. Although Phil Metres sends newsletters -- I get one -- e-mail is not the fastest and easiest way to assemble a protest or march. You need signs, people standing outside and forcibly telling people about the situation …a person like Preacher Dan who tells you whether you want to hear. People are not going to get involved in something that others don't make a big deal over and simply send an e-mail to inform. \nIf things don't change, protests will be pointless, like they were in the 1960s, when hippies were all talk and no action. If we want people to hear us and don't want this to end up like Vietnam, where people learned to disrespect the hippies for their minds, then we need to act. The time for talking is over. Free your minds and powers. Stop talking … start doing.
Protest with actions, not just with words
