Panel to discuss women in education

A panel is meeting at 4 p.m. today in Ballantine Hall 144 to discuss women in education, especially at IU. \nPanelists include Valerie Grim, associate professor of Afro-American Studies; Holly Stocking, associate professor of journalism; Jean Robinson, dean of women's affairs; Pam Freeman, assistant dean of students; and Joan Middendorf, director of administration and instruction for the Teaching Resources Center.\nThe panelists will discuss their teaching experiences at IU, whether student evaluations are affected by gender and how disrespectful behavior should be handled. The panelists will also describe some of their positive and negative experiences as a female instructor.
