Blood Services Volunteers\nThe American Red Cross needs volunteers to answer phones, greet and sign in donors and serve drinks and snacks. Volunteers are needed Wednesday and Friday from 1-5:30 p.m. and Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Contact Mary Simon at 331-1300 or simonm@us.redcross.org.\nBefriend a Mental Health Recipient\nThe Mental Health Association needs volunteers for the Befriend Program. Volunteers will be provided with individual and group training and guidance on such issues as mental disability, communication and trust. This is a challenging opportunity for people who appreciate and can handle independent responsibility. A commitment of at least 12 months is necessary. Tecumseh Trail, when completed, will run from Yellowwood State Forest to Morgan-Monroe State Forest. Meet at 9 a.m. at Yellowwood Forest Office. Bring your lunch;beverages will be provided. Work until 3 p.m. Contact (812) 988-7945 or stop by the Yellowwood Office.\nSpecial Olympics Bowling\nVolunteers are needed to help with the Special Olympics Area 10 Bowling Tournament Nov. 11 at Classic Bowling Lanes. Training provided; 25 volunteers needed per shift.
