After fleeing war-torn Syria the Batmans resettled on the north side of Indianapolis. Marwarn, Rimas, Raghad, Rakan and their mother and 16-year-old sister, who are not pictured, have lived in Indianapolis for two years and two months. Now they are faced with President Trump's executive order. They still want to become citizens of the United States.

Covey's kids is one thing that keeps him on the stright and narrow while he is recovering. His ex-wife, Tiffany Smith, 27, drops them off to spend the night with their dad every Friday. During the warmer days TJ likes to take them to the park or watch Netflix before they go to bed.

Addiction can take over anyone's life, no matter their religion, age, sexual orientation or place of residence. It is important to understand the stories of the many who are sturggling with addiction whether in the root of the addiction or in recovery.
