Tune-Yards will be performing tonight, May 17, at 9 p.m at The Bluebird.

Spirit of ’68 Promotions and WFHB present Tune-Yards “My Brightest Diamond.” Tickets are $20 on Ticketfly.

Tune-Yards began as a lo-fi experimental folk project of Merrill Garbus, and it took Garbus two years to create her debut “BiRd-BrAiNs” in 2009, according to Tune-Yards' Spotify page.

In January 2018, Tune-Yards released its fifth album on Spotify, “I can feel you creep into my private life.” The album consists of 12 tracks and contains the signature indie-pop sound Tune-Yards is known for.

Tune-Yards uses a digital voice recorder and mixing software to combine found sounds, field records, ukulele, percussion and vocals to create the signature sound you can hear distinctly through each of its albums, according to its Spotify page.

Tune-Yards has nearly 500,000 listeners on Spotify and “Water Fountain” sits as one of its most-known songs, along with its most-played song on Spotify.

The show begins at 9 p.m., and doors will open at 8 p.m.
