Michael Martin was arrested by Bloomington Police Department officers Oct. 8 on charges of rape and another sex crime.
Martin, 55, reportedly initiated sexual activity while the victim was asleep, according to BPD Capt. Joe Qualters. After awaking and finding him there, the victim contacted the police.
Officers then located Martin who reportedly denied the accusations and resisted arrest.
Qualters said this incident is the fourth known time Martin has reportedly attempted to engage in sexual activity, though police were not called in previous instances.
