IU women's basketball 2009-10 schedule released

IU Athletics announced the women’s basketball schedule for the 2009-10 season Monday.

The schedule will feature 29 regular-season games, including 15 home games.

The season will begin with two exhibition games at home before the Hoosiers open the regular season Nov. 13 at the University of Memphis. The Hoosiers’ regular-season home opener will come two days later against IUPUI.

The 18-game Big Ten season begins Dec. 6 at Michigan State with the home opener Jan. 3, also against the Spartans.

IU plays every team in the Big Ten twice except for Purdue and Minnesota.

The Hoosiers’ final regular-season game will take place Feb. 28, Senior Day, against Penn State.  

“We are very excited about our eight games that will be televised nationally,” women’s basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack said in a press release. “I think it will give our fans nationwide a chance to see our team play some great competition and further showcase the strength of the Big Ten Conference.”
