The first event that will take place in the new area will be the annual Welcome Week event “Taste of the Union.” Starting at 5 p.m. today there will be a band and a fire in the fire pit for the attendees of “Taste” to enjoy.
CultureFest has both outdoor and indoor components. The outdoor portion consists of food, music, cultural performances and activities, while the indoor aspect is meant to inspire and educate. CultureFest will take place at 4:30 p.m. today at the IU Auditorium.
People wait in a line that stretched from the front door of Jimmy John’s to the Kirkwood Hair Artists hair salon during $1.00 eight inch sub day Thursday at Jimmy John’s. The $1.00 sub day is in honor of customer appreciation and started at 11 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m.
