IU Police Department said the victim and suspect knew each other.
The hate symbol was seen underneath a bridge near Eigenmann Hall.
The swastika has since been painted over with white paint.
There has been a 6.8% increase in sexual assault reports this year since 2020.
The incident reportedly occurred Aug. 22, according to the crime log.
The suspect attempted to remove an officer’s gun from its holster during arrest.
The survivor declined to press charges.
The shooting occurred at 524 S. Basswood Drive.
One reportedly occurred Friday while the other occurred Aug. 19.
The IUPD crime log listed the crimes committed as sexual assault and battery.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday.
The vandalism on the Islamic Center of Bloomington occured on Oct. 18.
A suspect has been identified by the Bloomington Police Department.
