Senior Morgan Apple plays her marimba with her eyes focused on the drum major. Morgan said she has gotten into a lot of fights with her family about racism, and it was hard to grow up around it. “But you cannot just push your opinions on everyone, that makes you just as bad as them," Morgan said. "Just identify yourself as someone who cares and defend those who need it.”

Senior Keegan Anderson holds his mellophone during a practice. He didn’t think much about prejudice or racism growing up. He said some people in Paoli don’t even think it still exists. Keegan first learned about the white nationalists in Paoli by scrolling through Twitter and seeing a tweet from J.K. Rowling mentioning Paoli and its white nationalists. “This isn’t who we are,” he thought.

Freshmen Emily Fahey and Anna Schmeltz decorate cookies on their way out of Herman B Wells Library. Fahey said she had a lot of tests and papers due this week and she needed to destress. Schmeltz said she was there because she heard there would be dogs. "There is a lot more here," she said. "I'm happy."

Sophomore Mackenzye Penn plays with Luna the therapy chihuahua. Luna and her owner Matt Capone are part of a therapy dog team called VIPaws. The pair have been together for six years and have been working as a therapy team for more than a year.

Andrea Gibson, an American poet and activist, shares poetry at the Buskirk Chumley Theater on Tuesday, March 6th. Gibson's poetry touched on love, family, struggles with addiction and struggles the LGBT community faces on a daily basis. Gibson will next present in St. Louis as part of an ongoing world tour.

"The opera is a story of true love's conflict, duties to the family, and what can happen to a mind under pressure," director Jose Maria Condemi said. "I felt it fit well in the Victorian era, with the ghosts, the constraints on women, while at the same time allowing me more freedom to create."
