IU’s African American Dance Company presented its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. April 15 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Currently directed by Stafford C. Berry Jr., the ensemble has performed at IU since 1974, combining numerous traditions of Black dance.

To reflect the emotional distress characters in the opera “Anne Frank” feel while in hiding, dancers appear in a powerfully chaotic and moving dance sequence representing Anne Frank’s nightmares. “The Book of Mormon” made its 20th stop on its national tour at the IU Auditorium Tuesday. The satirical musical, which will be at IU until Thursday, tells the story of two Mormon missionaries struggling to spread the word of their religion in Uganda.

Folk singer Sofia Talvik will perform at 8 p.m. on Aug 19 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Tickets for Talvik’s performance are available on the BCT website, and doors will open 30 minutes prior to the show.
