The Big Ten announced Thursday IU head coach Tom Allen was named the Hayes-Schembechler Coach of the Year and Dave McClain Coach of the Year as voted by coaches and the media. Allen joins Bill Mallory as the only head coach in program history to earn Big Ten Coach of the Year honors.
