Virginia McPherson, 85, the Wagoner's neighbor, holds the invitation she received last year to the funeral of one-year-old Zoey Wagoner Wednesday at her house. On Wednesday, the day of Matthew S. Wagoner's sentencing, she stayed inside her home in Greenfield with her dog Susie. Last May, on the day before Zoey was killed, she was sitting on her front porch with Susie when she saw Jessica Wagoner walking by in a stroller. Virginia went up and touched Zoey's hand and smiled at the infant. "I'll never forget the look on that child's face," she said. Matt Bloom and Matt Bloom
