HALFTIME: IU 40, Wisconsin 28

After one half of play, IU leads Wisconsin 40-28. Freshman guard Larryn Brooks scored 12 points in the first half, including five of the Hoosiers' first seven, leading all scorers. Junior center Michala Johnson led Wisconsin with 10 points. IU led by as many as 15 points in the first half, shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from 3-point range. Wisconsin shot 43.5 percent from the field, including 37.5 percent from 3-point range. The Hoosiers went scoreless for nearly four minutes, but responded with a 19-3 run starting at the 12:44 mark.

Women's water polo has two claim weekly awards

For the second week in a row, two Hoosiers have been named CWPA players of the week. Senior attacker Allison Campbell was named Conference Player of the Week and sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Gaudreault was named Defensive Player of the week again. This is Campbell's first weekly award with Indiana and sixth in her career.

Women's soccer adds nine players

IU women's soccer announced Wednesday the signing of nine student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play soccer for the Hoosiers in 2014. Among the signees is high school All-American forward Kayla Murphy of Newburgh.

Schwartzer, Ricker named back-to-back B1G Athletes of the Week

Last week, IU freshman Matt Schwartzer was named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week for his performance in the three-kilometer run. This week, he passed on that title to fellow Hoosier JR Ricker, who was named Big Ten Athlete of the Week for his winning five-kilometer run at the Indiana Relays Saturday. Ricker's 14:07.55 5k is a Big Ten-best, and ranks third overall in the NCAA.

Final: IU defeats Illinois 77-58

The streak is over. IU defeated Illinois 77-58 in Champaign, Ill. on Sunday, snapping a streak of 22 Big Ten losses on the road. Two days after a performance against Northwestern that caused Miller to question his team's confidence, IU opened with one of their best offensive halves of the season. IU shot 15-of-29 (51.7 percent) from the field and hit six three-pointers in the opening 20 minutes of play. The Hoosiers went on a 17-1 run between the 14:45-10:54 mark in the first half to take a commanding 34-15 lead. IU went on a 16-5 run to start the second half to extend its lead to 59-36 with 12 minutes and 13 seconds remaining.

HALFTIME: IU leads Illinois 43-31

After 20 minutes of action, IU leads Illinois 43-31 in Champaign, Ill. The Hoosiers went on a 17-1 run from the 15:08 to the 10:54 mark in the opening half to take a 34-15 lead. Two days after a performance against Northwestern that caused IU Coach Curt Miller to question the confidence of his team, the Hoosiers responded with one of their best offensive halves of the season. IU shot 15-29 (51.7 percent) from the field.

FINAL: Northwestern 58, IU 52

Lauren Douglas scored 16 points to lead Northwestern to a 58-52 victory over IU Thursday night at Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers shot poorly from the free throw line, finishing 6-of-20. Northwestern improved to 14-7 and 4-4 in Big Ten play.

FINAL: Iowa 84, IU 75

Iowa defeated IU 84-75 on Saturday. Turnovers plagued IU (15-5, 2-5) throughout the night. The Hoosiers entered the game committing the fewest turnovers in the league, but turned the ball over 19 times on Saturday. IU trailed by only five points at halftime, but Iowa pulled away in the second half while IU's offense stalled out. The Hoosiers turned the ball over on three consecutive possessions to start the second half. The turnovers contributed to Iowa starting the second half on a 16-7 run to pull ahead 60-46.

At the half, Iowa leads IU 44-39 from Iowa City. Freshmen guards Taylor Agler and Larryn Brooks have combined for 23 points to lead IU.

FINAL: No. 13 Penn State 65, IU 52

Ariel Edwards scored 18 points and added eight rebounds to lead No. 13 Penn State to a 65-52 win over IU. The victory is Penn State's fourth-consecutive win over the Hoosiers. Following this game, IU will face Iowa this Saturday at 7 p.m.

FINAL: IU defeats Minnesota 83-78 in overtime

IU outscored Minnesota in overtime 13-8 at Assembly Hall en route to an 83-78 victory on Sunday. The Hoosiers had the final possession in regulation, but failed to convert as senior forward Simone Deloach could not get a last second heave to fall in on time. In overtime, IU and Minnesota exchanged free throws early in the five minute extra period. Minnesota took over the lead when freshman center Amanda Zahui converted on a layup.
