Tracking coronavirus cases in Indiana

Editor's Note: This map will be updated as more information becomes available. This article and map were last updated at 12:07 p.m. August 23 to report an increase in the numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the state. There are now at least 85,932 cases of the coronavirus in Indiana and 3,003 deaths. Monroe County reported its first death from the coronavirus April 12.

According to experts, more than 23,200,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed worldwide. The state has seen a sharp rise in the number of active cases since its first case March 6, when Gov. Eric Holcomb declared a public health emergency to coordinate the state’s response.
