Year in and year out, the Big Ten conference has become one of the premiere volleyball conferences in collegiate volleyball. Every team is filled with talent ready to skyrocket to the next level. Following a 10-3 non-conference slate, Indiana looks to continue its upward climb in the fierce Big Ten.

Indiana volleyball finished out the non-conference portion of its schedule this weekend in Miami at the 305 Challenge. The Hoosiers played in their final invitational of the season facing the University of Miami, Stetson University, Jacksonville University and Florida International University in two straight doubleheaders.

Miami, Florida might be home to Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull, but for the weekend of Sept. 15 and 16, Indiana volleyball will be invading the 305 area code. In the final weekend of the Hoosiers’ non-conference schedule, the Hoosiers will play in the five-team 305 Challenge.

Indiana volleyball returns from the Stacheville Invitational in Clarksville, Tennessee with three victories, sweeping their opponents in nine straight sets. The host Austin Peay State University, Lindenwood University and Valparaiso University were the teams Indiana faced over the weekend.

Indiana volleyball traveled to the Walter Pyramid, home of Long Beach State University. Walter Pyramid is one of only four pyramid-shaped structures in all the United States, and the only one to be a collegiate sports venue. The Hoosiers participated in a four-school invitational featuring the host Long Beach State, the University of California Los Angeles and the University of Washington.

From the Golden State to the Hoosier State, sophomore opposite hitter Avry Tatum found her path to Indiana volleyball. Tatum, a Solana Beach, California native, played her first year of collegiate volleyball a few hours from Bloomington at the University of Cincinnati.

Indiana volleyball went 3-0 on the weekend beating the University of New Hampshire, University of Southern Indiana and Radford University. The Hoosiers finished their opening weekend undefeated for the third time under head coach Steve Aird, winning in nice straight sets. A mix of veterans and newcomers found the floor in Wilkinson Hall debuting the 2023 team.

The arrival of the 2023 collegiate volleyball season and Indiana Hoosiers volleyball is here. The Hoosiers begin their season hosting three universities for the annual Indiana Invitational. Indiana will welcome the University of New Hampshire, the University of Southern Indiana and Radford University.

Indiana volleyball junior setter Camryn Haworth was one of 15 players selected to the 2023 Preseason All-Big Ten Volleyball Team, the league office announced Friday. Haworth is one of the team’s three setters and the first Hoosier named to this list since Ashley Benson in 2010.

For the Second Annual Big Ten Volleyball Media Days on August 1 in Chicago, Indiana volleyball's senior outside hitter Grae Gosnell and junior setter Camryn Haworth will represent the program, per an IU Athletics release Friday. Two athletes per team, along with their head coaches, will speak to media outlets across the two days at the Big Ten Network Studios.

Indiana volleyball will return home to face Northwestern in one of its final home games of the season. To finish off the upcoming weekend of matches, the Hoosiers will then depart to face No. 5 Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.

Indiana volleyball fell 3-0 to the No. 9 Minnesota Golden Gophers on Sunday. The matchup concluded the challenging five-match stretch the Hoosiers recently played against ranked opponents, during which they went winless.

After battling Friday evening in Wilkinson Hall, Indiana volleyball lost a close match to No. 16 Penn State in straight sets. Looking at the bigger picture, the Hoosiers only lost the match by eight combined points.

Indiana volleyball is on a three-match losing streak with a 6-8 record in the conference after losing to Wisconsin on the road Nov. 6. Indiana has an opportunity Friday to break this cycle and improve its resume with a ranked win against No. 16 Penn State or a win against No. 9 Minnesota on Sunday.

Indiana volleyball traveled to Madison, Wisconsin on Sunday to complete a home and away series against No. 3 Wisconsin. The Hoosiers sent the Badgers to a fourth set but could not win the additional needed sets to pull off the upset, ultimately losing 3-1.

Indiana volleyball traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to play the defending national runners-up Wednesday night. Nebraska has yet to lose to an unranked team at home in the past nine years and continued this streak against the Hoosiers. Indiana kept the sets competitive but ultimately fell to Nebraska 3-0.

Indiana volleyball was last in action in West Lafayette, Indiana, where the team fell to its in-state rival Purdue on Sunday. The 3-1 loss against Purdue snapped Indiana’s four-match winning streak, but the team will look to start a new streak when it hits the road to face No. 4 Nebraska at 9 p.m. Wednesday in Lincoln.

Indiana volleyball played a pair of home–and–away matches this past weekend after beating both Michigan State and Michigan on the road last weekend. Indiana first faced Rutgers on Friday night in Bloomington before traveling to No. 12 Purdue on Sunday afternoon.

Indiana volleyball currently holds a three-match winning streak in the Big Ten for the first time since 2014 after wins over then No. 25-Michigan and Michigan State last weekend. The Hoosiers look to extend their streak this weekend against Rutgers at home Friday and in-state rival No. 12 Purdue on the road Sunday.
