Due to forecasts of rain, tonight’s Homecoming concert featuring South Jordan will now take place in McNutt North Dining Hall instead of Dunn Meadow.
Emili Sperling, IUAA alumni programs officer for recent graduate and student enrichment, said the decision to move the event indoors was made at about 9:30 a.m.
“If people are worried about parking, we have confirmed with parking enforcement that there won’t be a problem after 5:30 p.m.,” she said.
Due to the change in venue, food trucks and local vendors will no longer be available for concert-goers to purchase food and drinks, but the concert schedule will feature the same acts.
IU alumni and musical duo Brice Fox and Daniel Weber will perform at 6:45 p.m., followed by Bloomington-based singer and songwriter Zach Majors at 7 p.m.
Student Athletic Board will crown the Homecoming king and queen at 7:45 p.m., and a special guest from IU Athletics will make an appearance for a “mini pep rally” at 8 p.m., Sperling said.
South Jordan, the headlining act, will perform at 8:15 p.m.
