Students began rallying at the Sample Gates at noon today to raise awareness of recent struggles with diversity issues on campus.Among the students’ six declared demands, they want to hold the University accountable to a 2006 Board of Trustees endorsement of a strategy to double underrepresented minority enrollment by 2013-14 on the IU-Bloomington campus. The students also want transparency from their administration to ensure the University is working toward a more diverse campus.Students said they hope the rally catches the attention of administrators, as well as others who pass by.Check idsnews.com for an updated story tonight—Matthew Glowicki
