David Williams, class of 2010 2-star recruit, decommits

As a junior in high school, David Williams’, a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, future seemed set after committing to play men’s basketball for IU coach Tom Crean on April 22.

However, on Tuesday, he released news that he would not be signing with IU during the early signing period for basketball today – or at all.

The 6-foot-7,200-pound small forward committed to IU before ever setting foot on campus.

The Hoosiers have only one commitment for the class of 2010 heading into the early signing period, which begins today. That recruit, Victor Oladipo, is the No. 133 player in the nation and is expected to sign a National Letter of Intent today at a press conference at his high school, DeMatha Catholic.

Too bad, I think we could really use a 7,200 pound forward next year.
