The IU School of Law-Bloomington will be renamed in honor an alumnus who donated $35 million for law student scholarships, IU President Michael McRobbie announced today.The school will be renamed the Michael Maurer School of Law. The gift will create the Michael and Janie Maurer Scholarships, according to a press release. Maurer is an Indianapolis business leader and has given longtime support to the school.
