Photos by Peter Stuttgen. Production by David Corso. LAN War is an event hosted by the IU Gaming Club, a club whose purpose is to create connections between social gamers around Bloomington. LAN War took place at Briscoe Quad running 24 hours, starting on Saturday, Oct 27, and ending Sunday, Oct. 28. Participants transport their personal computers from their homes to wherever the event is held and connect their machines to a private network created for them by the event coordinator. When connected, the participants compete in gaming tournaments or socialize with other gamers for hours on end till they get too tired to continue.
