Money, money, money – everyone’s worried about it. Zack wants a better job, Billie wants to keep hers, and Davis and Abby are annoyed that Olivia keeps running out of bills.
Zack wants a promotion at his job, both because he wants to advance and because he’s worried about how much the baby is going to cost. Billie isn’t worried – until she finds out that James is bringing another film critic in, supposedly for while she’s on maternity leave – five months before the baby’s due.
Max is an internet blogger – cool, hip, and in-the-know. And annoying. He obviously wants Billie’s job, and he’s willing to play dirty to get it. He gets a copy of an unreleased movie to review, but sends it back before Billie is able to finish it. Worried that she’s going to lose her job, since they were both supposed to write reviews and hers is unfinished, she freaks out.
Luckily – and strangely – it’s Davis to the rescue. He knows a guy who has DVDs of EVERYTHING, even unreleased movies. He takes Billie to “Jabba,” who gives her a copy for an egg sandwich.
Zack really wants to be a sous chef, but his boss is a jerk. Billie suggests that he take his boss some risotto, which he makes really well, and ask for a trial night. Zack does and the boss, who likes the risotto a lot better than the current sous chef’s, agrees.
Meanwhile, the group is starting to realize that Olivia has a habit of running out on bills when they eat out. Abby is cold to her and Davis tries to get her up for a bill of hers he paid, but she ignores both of them. When they’re eating at Zack’s restaurant the nighht of his sous chef trial, Abby devises a plan – they’ll all order really expensive meals, and run out and leave Olivia with the bill.
Zack’s big night doesn’t exactly go as planned. James, on Olivia’s advice, shows up and apologizes to Billie for bringing Max in. He assures her that her job is secure, and that he loves her review. Billie starts crying with joy – or hormones – and Zack sees it and thinks James is being mean. He attacks James, who punches him back, and they both end up on Billie’s couch with icepacks on their faces.
Abby and Davis finally get Olivia to pay for all the meals, which she does, in a huff. After she leaves, Davis saus he feels a little bad, but Abby tells him not to worry – a drunk Olivia paid with money from Abby’s wallet.
