In this week’s episode of Sunny, we learn Dennis’ five step system.

Demonstrate your value

Engage physically

Nurturing dependence

Neglect emotionally

Inspire hope

Separate entirely

And we see the results of his vain attempts to get to a girl’s heart.

Dennis runs into the room, cell phone in hand, explaining that he just received the best voicemail. Interested, the gang huddles around the phone to listen to a heartbroken girl scream through the phone, calling Dennis names and insisting that he is the worst person alive.

While Mac, Charlie, and Frank congratulate Dennis and agree that his 5 Step system is a genius approach, Dee is disgusted. Also, she begins to worry about her own relationship with the soldier from a few episodes ago. Is he also participating in the D.E.N.N.I.S system?

Dennis feels that Dee is challenging him to prove that the voicemail girl is still in love with him. He goes to her pharmacy to ask for a prescription for a fictional grandmother, and she glares at the first sight of him. He finds Mac and Frank at the store also, and discovers that after he completes the D.E.N.N.I.S system, his two friends come back and get seconds.

Meanwhile, Charlie attempts to use the D.E.N.N.I.S. system on the waitress. He tries to demonstrate his value by breaking into her home, destroying her sink, and trying to fix it with his plumbing skills. Needless to say, she is unimpressed.

Later, the gang meet up at the fair. Dennis wheels in his fictional grandmother as she informs everyone that her grandmother was a lesbian. Charlie heads to the waitress’ new station at a fair station, hoping to woo her. Dee and her soldier fight, and she hopes to flirt with a carnie to lower her soldier’s standards. Unfortunately, the carnie stabs her with his key, voicemail girl scoffs at Dennis’ strange friends, and Frank attempts to woo voicemail girl by dropping a mega condom on the ground. The soldier and voicemail girl leave together, and the gang watch as they go, wondering what exactly went wrong.

Unfortunately, the fictional grandmother is left with out a ride home. They leave her in good spirits by the waitress’ game stand.
