I’m gathering my thoughts..

I come bearing gifts. Actually, not. I come bearing my opinions and final predictions for the 6^th season of Project Runway. Be thankful.

Right. Well-I guess I should just dive in:

This year’s project runway seems to be shaping up much like the previous season in regards to gender supremacy: girls rule. I won’t be at all surprised if the top 3 who make it to Bryant Park are women.

While Logan is achingly attractive (it’s safe to say even Heidi has a soft spot for him) and Christopher is endearing in more ways than one (his fidgeting, his underdog persona, his spikey hair and they way he talks like a boisterous 4-year-old), these things just won’t cut it on the runway. Well-Logan actually could cut it on the runway as a model with his height and looks-but last episode, I just had the revelation that he’s bow-legged! Huh.

As for the women: I hate to say it, but I just don’t see Gordana in the top 3. There’s no doubt that she has talent and creativity as a designer. But as Heidi said before, she lacks confidence, and that’s something the judges HAVE to consider. When she messes up, she usually misses the mark by quite a lot, and her garment is very blah; the other female designers left haven’t had any truly horrible mistakes, so I have more confidence in them during these last few rounds.

I think the top 3 going to Bryant Park will be Irina, Althea and Carol Hannah. But I could see Carol Hannah making a close call of it? For the winner, I would love for it to be Carol Hannah. She has a clear point of view; you can tell her designs are hers. Personally, I identify with her aesthetic more than some of the other designers. Althea is also really talented, but I still haven’t pinpointed exactly what her style is-it’s not clear to me, and that bugs me but also makes me very eager to see what she would do if she made it to Bryant Park. For my prediction on who will ACTUALLY WIN, it’s Irina. Hate to say it, but she’s very distinctive with her designs, most of everything is well-made, and the judges seem to be responding the best to her.

Just for fun, here is the order I think things are going to go down:

Christopher, Logan, Gordana, and Irina wins. BUT I HOPE NOT.
