Recommendation of the week: “The Secret of Kells”
The surprise Animated feature Oscar nominee had the nation asking, “What the hell is ‘The Secret of Kells’?” Now we can all find out when it is released on DVD and the Instant Queue on the same day. Tomm Moore’s Irish film has been called an animated visual wonder, and with a handsome 81 on Metacritic, it is one of the best movies of 2010. The film tells the story of a boy assigned with the task of completing a legendary mythological book after his tribe is attacked by Vikings. Performing her song “Glitter in the Air” she combined a beautiful song with a cirques inspired act.
Jennie needs some gloves to keep her hands clean.
Hanging from the ceiling wrapped in a white cloth for the majority of the song, her performance was on a completely other level from the others that night. If you have not seen it I highly suggest taking time to watch it.
