Head coach Clint Wallman and the IU women’s golf program has signed two players for the 2010-2011 season.

Lindsay Gahm, a Louisville, Ky. native, brings an accomplished junior resume from the Bluegrass State. Gahm is a three-time All State selection in Kentucky and was named Kentucky Miss Golf after winning the 2009 Kentucky State Championship. In the classroom, Gahm has been named to the Principal’s List (4.0 GPA) at Sacred Hart Academy in each of her four years.

Sophie Hayashi previously hails from Carmel, Ind. and currently attends The David Leadbetter Golf Academy at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla. Hayashi has spent the last two years at the IMG Academy after being apart of Brebuf Jesuit Prep’s 2006 IHSAA Golf Team State Championship and winning the IHSAA Golf Individual Championship as a sophomore in 2007. In the past two years, Hayashi has posted numerous top-20 finishes in national tournaments on the American Junior Golf Association and the Future World Collegians Tours.

The Hoosiers will be counting on Gahm and Hayashi to help fill the rolls of 2010 gradating seniors Kellye Belcher, Anita Gahir and Laura Nochta.

Kevin Bowen is a senior majoring in Sport Communication Print and minoring in Marketing. He wrote for the men's and women's golf team during his sophomore year. In the fall of 2010, he was the Hoosier Sports columnist and that spring he was the baseball beat reporter. This year he is a beat writer for the men's basketball team.
