Honors Continue for Men’s Soccer Coaches

The IU men’s soccer coaching staff earned two more accolades Thursday morning, as Todd Yeagley was selected as one of four head coaches at the Major League Soccer Combine, January 11-15 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Yeagley will coach the Prime squad, with a roster yet to be determined.

“It’s a nice honor,” Yeagley said Tuesday evening by phone. “Anytime your team has success, nice awards come after it. This is a reflection of what the team was able to accomplish. It’s a program award.”

Yeagley talked about this specific recognition in a release from IU Athletics.

“I am really excited to go down to the MLS Combine in Florida and work with some of the best players in the country,” Yeagley said. “I will certainly see some old friends that I was able to play with, and against. It should be a great week of soccer and I am honored they invited me down to work with our nation’s best.”

Additionally, College Soccer News selected Brian Maisonneuve as one of the nation’s Top 15 assistant coaches. Yeagley praised the work of his former teammate.

“Brian has done a great job helping our program earn our eighth title,” IU Coach Todd Yeagley said in a release. “His positive impact is felt in all areas of our program. We are so fortunate to have one of IU’s greatest players back helping our program build upon our proud tradition of excellence.”
