Chris Cohen; The Bishop

Thursday, 9:30 PM

For someone dabbling in psychedelic pop, a genre often given to loud bouts of mixed instrumentation and extended periods of amplifier static, and described by "Pitchfork" as "jagged," Chris Cohen treats his solo music with surprising delicacy. Cohen, a longtime veteran to the world of musicianship, (the musician is the son of a former Broadway actress and a music business executive), has released approximately ten full-length albums as a contributing performer to other psychedelic pop bands, such as Natural Dreamers. Relaxed and oddly quiet, Cohen's solo album debut "Overgrown Path" brings a variety of indelible sounds to the listeners' attention. All this and more tomorrow night at the Bishop.
