IU women's soccer announced Wednesday the signing of nine student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play soccer for the Hoosiers in 2014.

Among the signees is high school All-American forward Kayla Murphy of Newburgh. Murphy participated in the inaugural high school girls All-American Soccer Game Dec. 7.

The Hoosiers were able to sign a pair of international players. Forward Annelie Leitner of Guatemala City and midfielder Kristen Riquelme of Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada will be donning cream and crimson next season.

"Hoosier fans should be very excited about the new talent coming to Bloomington," IU Coach Amy Berbary said in a release. "This class has instant impact potential and gives us a large amount of depth after losing six starters due to graduation. We are thrilled to see these nine athletic and versatile players join our returning group and help build on the success of the 2013 campaign."

IU begins spring competition March 1 against St. Louis.
