Freshman forward Lindsay Leikem leads all scorers with 13 points. Sophomore forward Laura Douglas leads the Wildcats with 12.
Northwestern led 14-9 with 13 minutes and 14 seconds remaining in the first half, but IU responded with a 7-0 run in fhe following two minutes of play.
The Hoosiers and Wildcats traded baskets until the 8:10 mark, when a layup by freshman forward Lindsey Leikem sparked a 7-2 IU run.
Leikem also scored the final seven of the Hoosiers' 29 first-half points.
